Bail pending appeal
In each of these situations, if you are in custody, it is possible to apply for bail to be granted until your appeal is heard, either to the lower court whose decision you are appealing, or to the court where your appeal is to be heard. In practice, this is very rarely granted, but making the application may speed up the hearing of your case.
