Rights on Recognition
If the applicant is recognised as a refugee, the applicant and his or her family will be granted ILR immediately.
Refugees who were not accompanied to the UK by their families can apply under the Immigration Rules for family. Admission is usually granted for spouses where the marriage predated the application for asylum and for dependant children.
Maintenance and accommodation requirements are waived.
Recognised refugees can work and study without needing any further permission from the Home Office.
