I have been subject to a Community Service Order, how long will it take for this order to become spent?
If you are aged over 18, Community Service Orders and other community sentences have been replaced by one generic Community Order for offences committed after 4 April 2005. These orders are spent after 5 years from the date of conviction.
Before 4 April 2009, if you are aged 16 or 17 then a Community Service Order is called a Community Punishment Order. These are spent after 2 ½ years from the date of conviction.
